Dana Delane Huskerson
Dana Delane Huskerson, 43,
went to be with her Lord after a brief illness on January 27, 2006.
She was born on Nov. 20,
1962, in Dallas, Texas, to Bill and Betty (Hurst) Huskerson.
She was a member of Immanuel
Baptist Church in Newton. Dana was employed by Kansas Gas Service Company where
she had worked since 1997. She also worked part-time for the All Creatures
Veterinary Clinic in Wichita.
Dana was a 1981 graduate of
Newton High School and received a B.S. in accounting from WSU.
Dana was passionate about
life and had a deep love for family and friends. She looked forward to jam
sessions with her girlfriends and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Dana had a great love of all
animals and supported the mission of the Kansas Humane Society in Wichita. She
also enjoyed music and looked forward to the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival
in Winfield. Dana will be missed by many including her beloved dogs.
Survivors include: mother,
Betty Huskerson of Newton; father and step-mother, Bill and Nainah Huskerson of
Camdenton, Mo.; brother, Jeff and Melody Huskerson of Greeley, Colo.; sisters,
Lou and Darrel Ratzlaff of Midlothian, Texas, Karla and Wade Reichmann;
step-sisters, Leslie and Wayne Taylor of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Susan and
Michael O'Dell of Springfield, Mo.; nephews, Austin, Joel and Aaron Huskerson;
nieces, Aubrey Reichmann and Janelle Huskerson; and great-nephew, Conner Ratzlaff.
Visitation will be 1 to 9
p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be 11
a.m. Tuesday at Grace Community Church with Jeff Huskerson officiating.
Memorials may be sent in lieu
of flowers to the Kansas Humane Society in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
