Kirk Scott Jr.

Kirk Scott Jr. died Sunday (Jan. 29, 2006). He was born Jan. 7, 1924, to Kirk and June Scott in Newton. He played Newton High School basketball under Coach Frank Lindley and was co-captain of the KU basketball team. Survivors include: sons and stepchildren, Gary Duckworth of Oklahoma City, Kirk Scott III of Wichita, Bill Scott of Houston, Brad Brown of Marks, Miss., and Judy Gilchrist of Wichita; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Old Mission in Wichita.
