Obituary

Mr. Almon Fairchild Sr. died Wednesday, March 12th at his home in Alta township, aged 57 years, of Catarrhal fever.  he leaves a wife and several children to mourn his death.  Mr. Fairchild came to Harvey county about eight years ago.  He possessed many good and manly qualities, which endeared him to his friends and neighbors.  The funeral services were conducted by Mr. Warn, a local preacher.  Twenty one vehicles and one hundred and fifty persons followed him to his last resting place to pay their last, sad tribute of respect to his memory.  The widow and fatherless children will receive the assistance and sympathy of many warm and devoted friends.
