Last Sunday we attended the funeral of Mrs. P. Harris, who died on the 21st inst. one week subsequent to the death of her infant, and they were both placed in the same coffin. The child was placed beside its mother with its head gently reclining on her arm, and one tiny hand resting on her bosom. Such a scene of purity and meekness would tend to overcome the most callous hearted. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. W. Vandeozer. The remains were interred at the Commons burying ground.
