Halstead- Karen Sue Bevan, 82, died
Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her residence.
She was born September 20, 1938 at
Dodge City, to Leslie Elmer, Sr. and Vivian Geraldine (Houser)
Wakeman.
She was a homemaker, famous for her
chocolate cakes, and a registered nurse at Halstead Hospital.
On December 18, 1960 she married
William Dale Bevan Salem United Methodist Church Newton, he survives
of the home.
She is also survived by a daughter:
Jeri Young, Tonganoxie; sons: Brad (Kris) Bevan, Burrton; Rod (Joyce)
Bevan, Wichita; Tim Bevan, Wichita; Mike (Candi) Bevan, Conway
Springs; sister: Kathy Wakeman, Brighton, CO; nine grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
A come and go Celebration of Life will
be 3:00 p.m. Friday March 12, 2021 in Fellowship Hall of First United
Methodist Church, Halstead.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment
will be at Halstead Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd
Hospice in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
