Arvid J. Schmidt
WICHITA -- Arvid J. Schmidt, 60, died Tuesday (Sept. 6,
2005) in Wichita.
He was born Jan. 9, 1945, in Newton to Simon J. and Martha
G. (Koehn) Schmidt of Walton.
He was a computer programmer for Boeing and a member of
Tabor Mennonite Church near Goessel.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include brothers David and Linda Schmidt of Hays,
and Ronald and Linda Schmidt of Olathe; sister Marjorie and Ron Matthews of
Valley Center; nieces, Erica and Steve Frans, Carrie Schmidt, Marla Schmidt and
Cheryl Schmidt; great niece Petra Frans; and several uncles, aunts, cousins and
friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Tabor Mennonite
Church, just off K-15 near Goessel. The Rev. Corey Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Tabor Mennonite Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tabor Mennonite
Church.
No visitation is planned. Miller Funeral Home is in charge
of arrangements.
