Sheila Trower

Sheila Marie Trower, 57, died Tuesday (May 4, 2021) in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on June 2, 1963 in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of John and Bonnie (Hatchell) Trower. Sheila was raised in Atchison attended Atchison Sr. High School.

As a child, she loved playing and swimming in the pond with her family and friends. As an adult, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to garage sale and finding great bargins.

In the late 1980’s she moved, living in Valley Center, Bentley, Sedgwick and Newton. Through the years Sheila had worked at Wal-Mart in Augusta, Cy’s Hoof & Horn in Sedgwick, and the True Value Store in Valley Center.

She is survived by her son Joshua Smith and his wife Jessica; daughter Alana Smith all of Newton; two brothers John Trower, Jr. and his wife Mary and Timmy Trower and his wife Rosie all of Atchison; sister Melody Moon of Halstead; and two granddaughters Destiny Smith of Newton and Skye Roach of Cheney, Ks.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents; one brother Ronald Dean Trower; and two sisters Karen Sue Jantz and Julie Elias.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday (May 8, 2021) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

The casket will be open on Saturday between 9:00 A.M. and service time.

A memorial has been established with The Lord’s Diner in Wichita. Contributions may be sent to the funeral home.
