Caryl Mae Knight
1932 - 2021
Caryl Mae Knight passed away peacefully
in Fort Collins on May 1, 2021. Caryl was born on February 17, 1932
to Gladys (Shaffer) and Truman Beeman in Sherman, KS.
Caryl attended Oswego High School where
she met her future husband, Victor Wesley Knight. They were married
on January 7, 1950. As Victor was a Master Sargent in the USAF, the
couple lived in various locations in the U.S. and Europe. In Phoenix,
they adopted their only child, Michael in 1961. Upon Victor's
retirement, the couple bought a farm in Newton, KS. Caryl continued
her career in bookkeeping by working at the Harvey County Courthouse.
Caryl enjoyed sewing. She made incredible quilts for her family and
close friends. She also made detailed doll clothes which she sold at
craft shows but mostly gave away to some very lucky children.
Caryl is survived by her son, Michael,
and his wife, Joanne, of Drake, Colorado and her three grandsons:
Justin, Joseph, and Austin all living in Ft. Collins, CO.
A graveside service will be held at
