Robert “Steve” Robbins, 67, died at
his home on June 11, 2021 surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 12, 1953 in
Newton, Kansas, the son of Robert and Ruth (Gibbens) Robbins.
Steve was retired for the past 5 years
and worked at Car Quest after retirement for the fun of it.
On May 21, 2004, Steve married Treva
Crawford in Newton, Kansas, gaining two kids to love as his own. They
were married for seventeen good years at the time of his passing.
Steve was always a kind, loving, ornery
man. He loved to tease the grandkids and loved his friends and
family. Steve made new friends everywhere he went.
During his free time, Steve could be
found working in the garage on his Model T or working on the Model T
he was building with his granddaughter. Steve loved to ride his
Harley with his brother and friends.
Steve is survived by his loving wife,
Treva Robbins of Newton; son, Joshua (Heather) Crawford of Newton;
daughter, Meagan (Josh) Wilson of Peabody; 6 grandchildren, Dylan,
Dauri and Dean Crawford, and Arianna, Gage and Maddix Wilson;
brother, Rod Robbins of Newton; sister, Rita Adams of Sedgwick; many
nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews.
Steve is preceded in death by his
parents, Robert Robbins, Ruth Huebert and step-dad “Red” Huebert;
nephews, Jon Robbins and Jeremy Adams; father-in-law, Gene Redger;
sister-in-law, Valora Redger; and brother-in-law, Lonnie Redger.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to
8:00pm on Tuesday, June 15th at Petersen Funeral Home, with family to
greet friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A memorial service will be the
following day at the funeral home at 10:00am, Wednesday, June 16th.
Following the service a luncheon will be held at the American Legion
in Newton.

name may be made to Flatland T’s of Kansas or Good Shepherd Hospice
in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
