Funeral services for Charles Lloyd "Chappy" Johnson will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Bethany Mennonite Church in Rich Hill, Missouri under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Charles Lloyd "Chappy" Johnson, age 95 of Moundridge, Kansas, formerly of Rich Hill, Missouri died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in at Moundridge Manor in Moundridge. He was born September 4, 1923 to Elias A. and Josephine Holdeman Johnson in Halstead, Kansas.
Chappy is survived by a son, Dayton Johnson and wife Loretta of Rich Hill, Missouri; a daughter, Charlotte Schultz and husband Glenn of Rich Hill, Missouri; a son-in-law, Ernie Koehn and wife Edith of Butler, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Frances Johnson of Macon, Mississippi, ten grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Johnson in 2009; daughter, Edith Ann Koehn; a grandchild, Nolan Koehn; three brothers, Dennis Johnson, Allen Johnson and Willard Johnson; and two sisters, Lois Eastland and Jewell McGinnis.
