Kenneth McGuire, 62-year-old Newton resident, was killed in a motorcycle accident Monday evening.
The crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. on Southeast Connector Road. Erin McDaniel, the city's director of communications, said this is a winding road and it appears Kenneth McGuire laid his motorcycle down on a curve.

Kenneth McGuire, 62, of Newton, died July 19, following a motorcycle wreck on the SE 14th St Connector. The road that connects Spencer Road with S. Kansas Avenue has multiple curves on it. It was on one of these curves where McGuire laid down his motorcycle, resulting in the wreck around 6:30 p.m., according to Newton Deputy Police Chief Scott Powell.
Crews responded and he was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, where he was pronounced dead.
Powell police believe it was a single-vehicle accident, and alcohol was not involved. He added that McGuire?s family had been notified of his death.
