Margarita Rodriguez

NEWTON: Margarita Rodriguez, 80, died
March 14, 2021 in Chandler, Arizona.
She was born on May 27, 1940 in
Chavinda, Michoacan, Mexico, the daughter of Donaciano and Nicolasa
M. Martinez Ramos.
Margarita moved from Mexico to El
Dorado, Kansas in the early 1960's. She married Louis Rodriguez on
November 14, 1964 in Dodge City, Kansas. They lived in Newton.
She had worked for several years for
the Newton School District and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church.
Margarita moved to Chandler, Arizona in
early 2020 to live with her son Louis.
Survivors include her sons Gregory of
Newton, Mark of Dallas, Texas area, Alexander of Little Rock,
Arkansas, and Louis of Chandler; 18 grandchildren; 12 great
grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived
by her brother Jose Ramos of Newton; and sisters Ana Maria Solorio of
El Dorado, Kansas and Juani Ramos of Newton.
Margarita is preceded in death by her
parents; brother Antonio Ramos; and sister Carmen Navarro.
The Recitation of the Holy Rosary was
held on March 19, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead,
Kansas with inurnment in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Newton.
