Robert Lee Dalke
1931 - 2021
Robert Lee Dalke, 89, died on April 5,
2021 at Kansas Christian Home in Newton, KS. He was born on June 22,
1931 to Dan and Sadie (Wedel) Dalke. Robert grew up in Galva, KS area
and went to Happy Hollow School and Moundridge High School. He was
the middle child of three boys.
Robert and Margie Penner were married
on June 22, 1950, and had six children. They shared 68 years
together. Rob was a devoted husband and father putting the needs of
his family first. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks and was
involved with trucking for his working career. Along with Margie,
they owned and operated Aero Equipment and Dalke Transport. Later in
life they enjoyed driving a truck together over the road.
Robert worked hard to obtain a pilot's
license. He liked flying and used his airplane for business and
pleasure.
Christian values were a large part of
Rob's life. He read the Bible and prayed daily. Robert and Margie
were involved with The Gideons International for many years. His
greatest wish was that his family would all be reunited in heaven.
Preceding him in death were his wife,
Margie, son, LeMar Dalke, daughter, Dixie Lee Dalke, granddaughter,
Lauren Crissey, parents, brothers, Melvin (Esther) Dalke, and Allen
Dalke.
Survivors include sons, Jay Dalke, of
Newton, Jan Dalke, of Hesston, Jim (Brenda) Dalke, of Moundridge;
daughter, Robin (Robert) Crissey of Franklin, TN., grandchildren,
Justin (Krystle) Dalke, Wichita, Jerrod Dalke, Moundridge and Jenna
Crissey, Franklin, TN.; five great-grandchildren and sister-in-law,
Yvonne Dalke, Camden, SC.
A private family service is planned.
