Marilyn Joanne Hiebert
Marilyn's life began on October 1,
1936, the only child and daughter of William and Marie (Gray) Reffner
in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Whitewater High Class of 1954
and married Victor Hiebert on June 13, 1957, at the Federated Church
in Whitewater.
Marilyn worked at Friendly Acres in
Newton, and then at Wheat State Manor for 35 years in laundry. She
was a member of Federated Church. She loved her family and enjoyed
sewing, baking anything sweet, puzzles, card games and dominos.
Her loving family includes her, sons
and their wives, Vic and Penny Hiebert of Park City, Kansas, Dave and
Lesa Hiebert of Haysville, Kansas; granddaughters, Jennifer (Aaron)
Archer of Whitewater, Sheridan Hiebert; five step-grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and her husband Vic in 2016. Marilyn passed away peacefully
on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the age of 84 years old.
Her family will gather with friends on
Tuesday, August 17, from 10-11:00 a.m. with her funeral following at
11:00 both at Federated Church, 703 E. Central, Whitewater. She will
be interred by her husband in Whitewater Cemetery.
