Kristi Kay (Deering) Gamble, 46, of Hesston, Kansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by family, on September 9, 2021. She was born June 21, 1975 in Newton, Kansas, the daughter of John David and Sharon K. (Krehbiel) Deering.
She was united in marriage to Andy Gamble on April 8, 2000 in Hesston, Kansas. They shared three children together, Samantha Gamble (25), Logan Gamble (19), and Trevor Gamble (17). Kristi and Andy later divorced.
Kristi enjoyed caring for the elderly throughout the years and spent her career as a CNA at Comfort Care Homes in Newton, Bethesda Home in Goessel and Schowalter Villa in Hesston. Kristi most recently moved to Foley, Alabama to begin a new career with her cousin, Starr Nicosia, managing a Smoothie King store. She enjoyed traveling, thrift shopping, going to the beach and attending concerts with her daughter, Samantha. Kristi enjoyed watching her sons, Logan and Trevor, play tennis and participate in school activities. Above all, she loved spending time with her kids and her dog, Chloe. Upon returning to Kansas last fall, Kristi enjoyed a lot of family time, family meals with her boys, parents, and extended family. She was blessed during this time, spending time with her wonderful boyfriend, Sheldon Klaasen.
Kristi is survived by her mother, Sharon Stutzman and stepfather, David Stutzman of Hesston; children, Samantha Gamble of Shawnee, Logan and Trevor Gamble of Hesston; brother, Todd Deering and wife, Julie of Hesston; and niece and nephew, Daxon and Aira Deering of Hesston. She was preceded in death by her father, John David Deering; maternal grandparents, Rollins and Louise Krehbiel; and paternal grandparents, Elmer and Guyola Deering.
A casual gathering to celebrate Kristi's life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Hesston Mennonite Church. Masks are required. Memorial contributions may be made to Hesston High School Tennis Team in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 32, Hesston, KS 67062.
