Marilyn E. Meacham
Marilyn E. Meacham, 66, 909 S. Poplar,
beautician and homemaker, died Friday (Oct. 17, 1997) at her home.
She was born Feb. 27, 1931, to Abraham
Carl and Mable Schlender Reusser. She married Bobby E. Meacham on
June 9, 1948, in Newton. He survives.
She was a member of Garden Mennonite
Church in rural Hesston. She enjoyed arts and crafts as a hobby and
reading her Bible. She was a floral designer for Country Gardens
floral shop in Hesston for the past six years. She learned to blow
glass and crafted works of glass. She owned the Mari-DeLynn Beauty
Salon for 20 years.
Other survivors include: one son, Bobby
D. Meacham of Newton; one daughter, Monica Lynn Shannon of Wichita;
three brothers, Gail Reusser of Moundridge, and Dwain Reusser and
Loren Reusser, both of Newton; one sister, Helen Rose Ediger of
Wichita; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Bahre; and one brother,
Donald 'Dick' Reusser.
Memorial services will be at 10 a. m.
Monday at Garden Mennonite Church in Hesston with the Pastor David
Norris of the church officiating. Interment will be at the Garden
Mennonite Cemetery in Hesston. Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in
Newton is in charge of the arrangements.
