Dan G. Stewart
WICHITA – Dan G. Stewart, Jr., 76, of
Wichita, broker/owner of Dan Stewart Co. life insurance, died Monday
(Oct. 13, 1997).
He was born Oct. 20, 1920 in Stockton
to Daniel G. Stewart Sr. and Hattie L. Cross Stewart. He married
Betty Lou Youngquist in 1943 in Newton. She survives.
He served in the Army Air Force during
World War II. After the war, he settled in Wichita where he worked
for the Foley Caterpillar Co. He later became an insurance salesman
and had his own business as a life insurance broker.
Other survivors include: one son, Rod
M. stewart of Wichita; one daughter, Sherry Waters of Kechi; one
brother, Dr. David Stewart of Whittier, Calif.; one sister, Jeanette
Hutton of Guide Rock, Neb.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Friday in
Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita. Interment was in the
Lakeview cemetery in Wichita. Downing and Lahey Mortuary of Wichita
was in charge of the arrangements.
