Rev. James D. "Jim" Gingerich
Moundridge - Rev. James D. "Jim"
Gingerich, 89, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 31,
2021 at Newton Medical Center. He was born September 3, 1932 in
Harrisburg, New York, the son of Nicholas and Dorothy (Mosher)
Gingerich.
He was a devoted husband and family
man. Jim was a lifelong minister, serving at Burrton Mennonite
Church, and First Mennonite Church of Christian in Moundridge. Jim
later started working for General Conference in Newton, Kansas, as
director of Mennonite Men.
He was married to Roberta Sally Janzen
in 1956. She survives.
Other survivors include his son, Darwin
(Jodi) Gingerich of Moundridge; daughters, Lynette (James) Allen of
Moundridge, and Kara Revell of Salina; nine grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew.
Jim was preceded in death by his
parents; and sister, Marie Snider and her husband, Howard.
Private graveside services will be held
at First Mennonite Church Cemetery, Moundridge. Funeral services will
be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021 at First Mennonite
Church of Christian in Moundridge. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m.,
Wednesday, November 3, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family
greeting friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be
