Steven K. Williams 63, died October 29,
2021 at Ascension Vis Christi St. Francis in Wichita, He was born
February 5, 1958 in Newton, Kansas to Robert I. and LaVeta D.
Williams.
Steve was a graduate of Newton High
School and earned an Associates Degree at Dodge City Community
College. He was a farmer and stockman in the Newton area.
He was an active member of the Grace
Community Church in Newton. He served on the hospitality team of the
church and was instrumental in the organization of the Newton
Community Thanksgiving meal. Steve was a true people person and
enjoyed visits and connections with the community.
He is survived by his mother LaVeta
Williams of Newton; Brother Neal and his wife Sheila Williams of
Newton; Niece Tonya (Tom) Cowan; Nephews Ryan (Jay) Williams and
Nathan (Jessica) Williams. There are also 6 great nieces and nephews
that survive.
Steve is preceded in death by his
father, Robert Williams.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m.,
Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Grace Community Church with Pastors
Jack Napier and Kyle Schanbacher presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m.
to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family
receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery Newton.
Memorial donation is suggested to New
Hope Homeless Shelter and may be left with Petersen Funeral Home.
