Bentley Phillips

Bentley T. Phillips, 85, died Monday
(November 8, 2021) at the South Cox Medical Center in Springfield,
Missouri.
He was born on October 14, 1936 in St.
Joseph, Arkansas, the son of Johnny Hardy and Lois Turney Phillips.
While growing up the family lived in several communities, he
graduated from Wichita North High School.
Bentley married Loyce K. Webb on August
30, 1957 in Wichita. At the time of her death on May 21, 2012, they
were living in Lakeview, Arkansas. Bentley later moved to Ozark,
Missouri.
He retired in 1997 from the Hesston
Corp. where he had worked for over 35 years in the Paint Department.
Survivors include his sons Mark
Phillips and wife Peggy of Newton, Mike Phillips and wife Sheila of
Leadhill, Ark.; daughters Tammy Koehn and husband Steve, and Brenda
Phillips of Kingsville, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great
grandchildren; and his companion Judy Snyder of the home in Ozark,
Mo.
Bentley was the oldest of 12 children.
He is also survived by his siblings Glendale Phillips and wife Nancy
of Scurry, Tex., Van Phillips and wife Joyce of Colleyville, Tex.,
Rex Phillips and wife Lonnie of Dunnellon, Fla., Jorena Trower of
Wichita, Shirley Ryan of Newton, Wilma Brazell and husband Jim of
Harrison, Ark., Roger Phillips and wife Sharon of McKinney, Tex.,
Ricky Phillips and wife Loretta of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., John Roy
Phillips and wife Cindy of Newton, and Ronnie Phillips and wife Patty
of Pleasant View, Tenn.
He is preceded in death by his parents;
wife; and sister Wanda Johnston.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00
A.M., Friday (Nov. 12th) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
The casket will be open at the funeral
home on Thursday (Nov. 11th) between Noon and 8:00 P.M., where the
family will receive friends between 5:00 and 8:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with
the American Cancer Society, contributions may be sent to Broadway
Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114.
