Richard "Ric" Wilkinson Plummer
Foley, AL - Richard "Ric" Wilkinson Plummer, 64,
of Foley, AL, died August 26, 2021, at The Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice
Care, Gulfport, MS.
He was born on February 18, 1957, to John W. and Evelyn M.
Pierce Plummer in Newton, KS, and graduated from Newton High School class of
1975. His senior year he was a member of the Newton High School Choraleers and
took the title "Coach" as co-coach of the senior girls Powder Puff
team.
"Ric" was venturesome and enjoyed meeting new
acquaintances in new places and sharing in their stories. His eclectic nature
was prominent in his silversmithing and life ventures. He lived in several
communities after moving from Newton. Living in Lawrence, KS, Ottawa, KS, in
both Kansas City, KS and MO, Wrightsville Beach, NC, Payson, AZ, and Foley, AL
before admission to St. Joseph Hospice The Carpenter House in Gulfport MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents John W. Plummer
(1968) and Evelyn M. Pierce Plummer Bacon (2003).
"Ric" is survived by his three siblings, Douglas
(Cheryl) of Minneapolis, KS; Dale (Sharon) of Midwest City, OK; and Barbara of
Portland, OR; nieces Abby Bates of Manhattan, KS; Beth Penner of Walton, KS;
Brie Wald of Newton; Kensey Plummer of Canyon, TX; and nephews Thomas Plummer
of Roswell, NM; John Plummer of Jackson, MS; and Benjamin "Sam" Plummer
of Minneapolis, KS; seven great-nephews, and one great-niece.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial

A graveside service is
planned for October 19, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery Newton, KS at 10am. The
Rev. Mike Loyd officiating. Family and friends will gather to offer
Commendation and Committal
