Loren McQueen

Loren L. McQueen, 80, North Newton,
Kan., and formerly of Montezuma, Kan., passed away peacefully Monday,
Jan. 3, 2022, at his home.
He was born March 27, 1941, in
Partridge, Kan., to George and Ruth (Schwab) McQueen as the seventh
of eight children and the youngest of five boys.
He married Patricia Hoyt on Oct. 29,
1960, in the little brown church in Nashua, Iowa. After being married
they lived in Minneapolis, Mn. until 1972 when they moved to
Montezuma and he spent his life as an auto mechanic and raising a
family in Montezuma, operating his own shop for 35 years before
retiring and moving to North Newton to be closer to family.
He is survived by wife, Patricia, of
the home, two sons; Loren P., of Eudora, Kan., and Nicholas and wife,
Brandie, of Lindsborg, Kan.; three daughters; Abby Tyner, and
husband, BJ, of Newton, Kan., Katie, of North Newton, Kan., and
Trisha and husband, Bruce, of Wichita, Kan.; Seven grandchildren;
Jayce McQueen and Julia McQueen, Cameron, Ben and Nicholas Crump,
Hayley Makovec, and Tamara Tyner; and a great-grandchild, Kennedy
Makovec; three sisters; Raylene Watson, Montezuma, and Rita Bengtson
and Sally Seck, both of Hutchinson, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; brothers Gilbert, James, David and Delbert.
There are no services planned at this
time with cremation taking place.
