Paul Wenger
1924 to 2017
Paul Wenger, 93, died Friday (Oct. 13, 2017) at his home in Hesston. He
was born June 11, 1924, in Versailles, Missouri, to Jesse and Ella
(Lehman) Wenger.
He was a truck driver for Hesston Corporation for many years, hauling farm equipment.
On Sept. 19, 1948, Paul married Lela Bentch at Mt. Zion Mennonite Church in Versailles, Missouri. She survives.
Other survivors include son, Dwayne Wenger (Brenda), Hesston;
daughters: Donna Heinrichs (Romney), Hesston, Barbara Thomas (Lew),
Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Twila Snowden (Jeff), Ft. Collins, Colorado;
eight grandchildren; and a sister, Bertha Swarr (Paul), Harrisonburg,
Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers:
Albert, Norman and Roy Wenger; sisters, Viola Ramer and an infant
sister, Barbara Wenger.
Memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday (Oct. 17, 2017) at Hesston Mennonite Church, Hesston. A private
family burial will take place at a later date. The family received
friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday (Oct. 16, 2017) at Hesston Mennonite
Church in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice, in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Hesston.
