Marie Regehr
1924 - 2021
North Newton - Marie Regehr, 97, of North Newton, Kansas,
passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Kidron Bethel Village. She was born
June 7, 1924 in rural Inman, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob H. and Margaretha
(Wiens) Ediger.
She was united in marriage to Curt L. Regehr on October 12,
1952 in Inman. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2008.
Early in her career, Marie was a Registered Nurse at Bethel
Deaconess Hospital in Newton and Grace Hospital in Hutchinson. She later was
the Director of the Licensed Practical Nursing School in McPherson.
Marie was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church in Inman and
after moving to North Newton, she attended Grace Hill Mennonite Church in
Whitewater.
She is survived by her five children, Jerry H. (Sandra)
Regehr of Wichita, Judy (John) Collicott of Omaha, Nebraska, Curtiss (Tammy)
Regehr of Whitewater, Donovan (Laurie) Regehr of Halstead and Wesley (Beth)
Regehr of Wichita; fourteen grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two
sisters, Annie (Skip) Martin of Lowville, New York and Elma (Warren) Kauffman
of West Liberty, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson,
Joshua Collicott; and three siblings, Tena Epp, Peter Ediger, and Menno Ediger.
Private burial will take
place at Inman North Cemetery, Inman, Kansas. Family will greet friends and
extended family from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, at Buhler
Mortuary. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 23,
2021 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church, 10218 SE 12th St, Whitewater, Kansas
