Betty L. Kirkpatrick, 75, died on February 8, 2022, in El
Dorado, Kansas.
She was born April 12, 1946, in Wichita, Kansas, the
daughter of Lionel and Dorothy (Milligan) Dilbeck. She attended Newton High
School, graduating with the class of 1964.
On March 26, 1967, Betty was united in marriage to Gary
Kirkpatrick. They were married for 37 years at the time of Gary?s passing in
2004.
She did catering with Budde Enterprises for the railroad for
many years after working at McDonalds as a swing manager.
Betty enjoyed bowling, sewing, and supporting her children
and grandchildren in all of their activities; from Gary?s demolition derbies,
Richard?s wrestling, Leasa?s music, Korrine?s basketball and volleyball,
Tyler?s football, basketball, and music, and John?s wrestling and baseball.
She always had a smile on her face and was willing to give
anyone a chance. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her children, Gary (Liz) Kirkpatrick
Jr., Richard (Theresa) Kirkpatrick, Leasa (David) Kirkpatrick; grandchildren,
Kathleen, Ruthann (Chris), Tony, Korrine, Tyler, and John; great-grandchildren,
Ellie, Christopher, and Eowyn; and sister, Wanda Joyce Hodges.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Kirkpatrick;
parents, Lionel and Dorothy Dilbeck; and brother, Howard Dilbeck.
Visitation will be from 5pm ? 9pm, Tuesday, February 15,
2022, at the funeral home. The funeral service will be the following morning at
10am, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.
