Myrna F. Wells Zielke
February 10, 2022
On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, Myrna F. Wells Zielke gained
her angel wings after a short illness. Myrna was born June 6, 1937, in
Perryton, Texas to Gus and Virgie (Unruh) Koehn.
The oldest of four children, Myrna graduated from high
school in Ringwood, OK. She married Bobby Gene Wells and they had a son Ron and
daughter Sharon while living in Newton, KS. Myrna worked at Smalley?s TV and
Marine and at Knudsen, Markle & Monroe in Newton before she began her years
at Hesston Corporation in accounting. They spent many wonderful weekends
boating and camping. Bob passed away and she married Cecil Wells.
She and Cecil owned C&M Enterprises and later RV Service
Center in Newton, KS. After retirement they built a home near Shell Knob, MO to
be closer to Table Rock Lake which they loved so much. They joined Trinity
Presbyterian Church, where Myrna was treasurer for many years and made many
good friends. Myrna sold Real Estate in the Shell Knob area as a realtor and
later as a broker.
Cecil also passed away and she renewed a friendship with
John Zielke, who she knew from her many years at Hesston Corporation. They
married and built a home on the lake. They had many wonderful years traveling
and enjoying each other?s company. A trip to Chile to visit her brother Larry
and his family was a highlight.
Myrna was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi-Gama Mu Sorority
and the Discovery Quilters Guild of Shell Knob. She was an avid quilter in
recent years and her family was the lucky recipients of many beautiful quilts
created by her. Myrna was a beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend.
There was nothing more important to her than her family and we always knew she
would be there for us. She will be greatly missed.
She leaves behind her son Ron Wells (Connie) of Topeka, KS,
daughter Sharon Winsler (Pat) of Peculiar, MO, six grandchildren Tyler Cassil
(Carrie), Emily Cassil, Amie Bidwell, Jenna Stephens, Krista Lane (Jeff),
Jordan Wells and eleven precious great grandchildren that she loved so much.
She is also survived by stepdaughters Kathie Keimig (Michael) of Sterling, KS,
Karen Zumwalt (David) of Wichita, KS, stepsons John A Zielke (Heidi) of
Hesston, KS, James Zielke (Patti) of Charlotte, NC, eleven step grandchildren,

Fulton and Glynda Schorn, and many nieces, nephew and her dear friends. Missy,
her well loved kitty cat misses her also. She was preceded in death by her
parents, husbands Bob Wells, Cecil Wells and John Zielke.
