March 22, 1939 - February 14, 2022
Albert Christopher Kostelecky, 82, died February 14, 2022 in
Newton, Kansas.
He was born March 22, 1939, the son of Joseph and Beatrice
Kostelecky. Albert was united in marriage to Verlamae J. Reid Breon on August
30, 1978. They were married 43 years, six months. Verlamae survives in the
home.
Albert was a man of many talents from his time serving in
the Army, he was stationed in Germany and Vietman. Al was a combat medic and
played in the Army band as a tuba player. After retiring from the military,
Albert took his love for riding motorcycles and love of his countryman to the
Patriot Honor Guard. He attended many funerals for his fallen soldiers.
Upon coming home from the military, Albert worked for the
Hesston Corporation as a welder and the highway department road crew.
Albert loved woodworking, it showed in the cedar chests,
cabinets and pantries he made. Although Albert was a hard worker all his life,
he would have rather danced every moment of every day as to work.
Albert kept lifelong friends; they were often fishing,
boating, and spending time at East Lake, playing cards and going out to eat.
Albert was always up for visiting.
