Carolyn Delores Harrington, 80, died, March 14, 2022 at Halstead, KS.
She was born April 26, 1941 at McCune, KS to Roy Harold and Delcie (Foiles) Buckle. She attended Arkansas City schools class of 1959, and graduated from Southwestern College with her teaching degree in 1964. She later earned her Master?s degree in teaching from Friends University. She taught at Nelson Elementary, Haysville, and Mt. Hope Grade School as a reading specialist. She later taught at Halstead Middle School, as a Title 1 teacher, retiring in 2006.
She was a member of Grace Community Church, Newton, where she was active in Women?s Ministries.
On September 4, 1965 she married Larry Joe Harrington at Arkansas City, he survives. Other survivors include a son, Monty (Kelly) Harrington, Lake Wales, FL; sister, Brenda (Richard) Learned, Newton, and six grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Cory Harrington, sister, Audine Buckle and brother, John Roy Buckle.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Grace Community Church, Newton with Pastors Dave Reimer and Jack Napier officiating. Memorials to Grace Community Church in care of Kaufman Funeral Home.
