HESSTON ? Louise T. Morales, 89, died Saturday (January 15,
2022) at the Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Ks.
She was born on June 21, 1932 in Newton, Kansas, the
daughter of Jose and Antonia Martinez Terrones. Louise married Eugene Morales
and they were later divorced.
Louise was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church
and served the church in many functions. She served on the Altar Society, decorating
committee, funeral luncheon committee, and RSVP dinners.
During her lifetime she worked with the special education
program and also performed the hearing screening tests in the local schools.
She served as the first aide department at the Hesston Corporation and also a
medical receptionist for the Axtell Clinic. In 2001, she retired from Axtell
Clinic as a Medical Assistant.
Louise enjoyed dancing, taking walks, and visiting local
nursing home during her free time.
Survivors include her son Danny E. Morales and wife Rita of
Hillsboro, Ks; daughters Cecilia Clary and husband Bill of St. Joseph, Mo.,
Teresa A. Schmitz of St. Joseph, Mo. 12 grandchildren; and 21 great
grandchildren; along with her son-in-law Louis Bueno of Newton.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Diana
Bueno; brothers John, Antonio, Jesse, Sirilo, Hildo, and sisters Emily Vargas,
Patricia Martinez, Helen Padilla, Lydia Rodriguez; and two infant siblings.
The casket will be open at the funeral home on Tuesday
(January 18th) between 1:00 and 4:00 P.M.
The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:00 P.M.,
Tuesday with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday (January
19th), both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton. Interment will
be in St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery in Newton.
A memorial has been established with Our Lady of Guadalupe,
contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway,
Newton, Ks. 67114.
