Theodore (Ted) Ray Resnik 76, passed away on January 20,
2022 while in Hospice care. Ted was born
on Aril 30, 1945, the fourth of six children, and the third son of Lucille
Margaret (Greep) Resnik and Daniel Edward Resnik of Whitewater, Kansas. Ted graduated from Whitewater High School and
obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of
Kansas. He was a member of Delta Chi
fraternity. He assisted in his parents?
car dealership growing up and intermittently during his life, being especially
helpful with the accounting.
Ted was a Certified Public Accountant for Elmer Fox &
Co, then for most of his accounting career, for Black and Veach, Overland Park,
Kansas,. After retirement, he returned
to Newton, Kansas, where he continued his business partnership with his
brother, Wayne, in Resnik Motors Company.
He married Gala Phoenix in June 1970 and Janice Gilbert in
the 1980?s. Both marriages ended in
divorce.
Ted was proceeded in death by his father, mother, brothers
Anthony Daniel and Daniel Douglas, and sister Josephine Ann. Survivors include his older brother Wayne
Edward (Ginger), Whitewater, KS, and sister Lucille (Cille) Carol King,
Lawrence, KS, and 2 nieces; Stephanie Powers and Alison King, and 2 nephews:
Anthony (Tony) Resnik and Zachary King.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2022
at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Nicholas Voelker
officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m.
to service time Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery Newton, Kansas.
