The interment of ashes, with military honors for Michael
Douglas Torres, 68, formerly of Peabody, Ks. Who died Nov. 24, 2021, at his
home in Topeka, Ks. Will be Friday March 25 at 1:30 pm at Leavenworth National
Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd., Leavenworth, Ks.
Born Oct. 14, 1953 in Newton, Ks., to Angel ? Ace? and
Theresa Segovia Torres. Mike attended Peabody schools, graduating from Peabody
High School in 1971. He was an Eagle Scout and a Marine Corp Veteran. He
attended Gavilan Community College, Gilroy, Ca. And San Jose State University
where he graduated with a political science degree.
Survivors include his sons, Micah David Torres and Gabriel
Douglas Torres, sister Patsy Torres-Milton, brother-in-law Larry Cramer. He
also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 niece and 2 nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his sister,
Auggie Lopez Cramer and many other family members. Suggested memorials:
