Darlene Ruth (Nickel) Redinger
Darlene Ruth (Nickel) Redinger went to
be with the Lord on April 5, 2022. She was born on April 28, 1936
to Peter and Margaret (Franz) Nickel, Goessel Kansas. She graduated
in 1954 from Goessel high school. After graduation, she became a
waitress at the corner lunch Newton Kansas where she met Gerald,
?Jerry ? Redinger. They married on June 3, 1956. They lovingly
adopted 2 infants, Vincent in1962 and Sheryl in 1966 They were
farmers and custom harvesters.
Darlene became a Mary Kay Cosmetics
consultant selling skin care and cosmetics from 1980 to 2021, In the
90s, Darlene decided that farming would not pay for cruises. She
became a Realtor for Reality Connections in Newton KS adding new
family friends and taking 13 Cruises in 10 years.
Darlene is preceded in Death by her
husband Gerald Redinger, Parents, Peter and Margaret (Franz) Nickel,
Brothers Johnny Nickel, William Nickel, and Sisters Luella Hiebert,
Esther Schowalter, and Dorothy Foth. She leaves behind two Children
Vince (Brenda) Redinger, Halstead, and Sheryl (Gary Archer)
Redinger, Halstead. Grandsons Matthew Balzer, Oklahoma City OK. Ryan
Redinger Halstead, Andrew Wolfenberger, Marshfield WI, Michael
Blanco and Thomas Blanco both of Kansas City KS, Nephew Bruce
Schowalter who took loving care of her while on hospice, and many
nephews and nieces. She was a loving , mother, grandmother, sister,
aunt and friend. She Lit up the room like a little stick of dynamite
with positive, loving energy while spreading God?s Love to everyone
she met.
Services will be held Saturday, April
30, 2022 at Grace Community Church. 1600 S Anderson, Newton KS. at
11:00 am. All are welcome to attend a noon meal followed by a short
graveside service. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer
Society, or Phoenix Hospice.
