Tressie Jodelle Smith, 42, died Wednesday (March 23, 2022)
at the NMC Health in Newton.
She was born on September 7, 1979 in Winfield, Kansas, the
daughter of Don Thomas and Debra Lynn Love Smith. A few years later the family
moved to Newton where she was raised and attended schools.
Through the years Tressie had worked at Asbury Park, Kidron
Bethel and Dillons.
Survivors include her daughter Morgan Byrom and husband
Zachery of Griffin, Georgia; sons Jacob Beck and Jason Beck both of Newton;
father and step-mother Don and Helen Smith of Newton; brother Jason Smith of
Martha, Oklahoma; sisters Chelsey Allison Watts of Olathe, Kansas and Brandi
Allison Cebulski of Newton.
Tressie is preceded in death by two infant children Joshua
Eugene Beck and Elizabeth Marie Beck; her mother Debra Allison; and step-father
Curtis Allison.
Cremation has taken place with private family services to be
held.
Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton,
Kansas.
