Liam Khan Claassen of Coppell, Texas
passed away on May 20, 2022, at the age of 11. Liam was born February
18, 2011, in Irving, Texas.
Liam had a beautiful soul that shone
brightly for all to see through his beautiful big brown eyes that
sparkled with pride. He had a playful and inquisitive zest for life,
and was well loved among his family, friends, and classmates, and was
known to make them laugh with his silly spirit. Liam was a passionate
child, especially when he shared his interests with others, such as
his beloved dogs Aiko and Willow, his time and conversations with his
grandparents, and his travels to Oklahoma and Kansas. He was a big
fan of RL Stein?s ?Goosebumps? books, campy horror movies, and
was an adept puzzler. Liam loved the song ?Watermelon Sugar? and
was often seen dancing around the house while playing it on his iPad.
Liam loved the outdoors and was an avid nature explorer; he
especially enjoyed spending time at the creek behind his house, going
for walks at Grand Lake, and exploring the golf course at his
grandparent?s house. He was also a proud member of Boy Scout Troop
841 and loved outdoor excursions with his fellow Scouts.
Above all else Liam was wise beyond his
years. He gave love, kindness, and compassion freely because he not
only knew what it meant to receive these gifts but to also return
them. To know Liam was to love him.
Liam, we cherish each memory and
imprint you have placed upon our hearts and lives. We know it is not
a forever goodbye, but only one for now until we meet in Heaven. We
love and miss you each day.
Liam is survived by his parents Chris
and Tanzeen Muna Claassen, sister Alexia, and brother Logan of
Coppell, Texas; his grandparents Stan and Jan Claassen of Newton,
Kansas, and grandmother Gulshan Khan of Dhaka, Bangladesh; his uncle
Cassidy, aunt Sarah, and cousins Jacob, Evelyn, and Stella Claassen,
of Lusaka, Zambia, and aunt Zereen Tarzia, uncle Asifur Rahman, and
cousin Zoya of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Claassen family is humbled and
tremendously appreciative of the outpouring of love and offers of
support from the community during this difficult time. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made for a new initiative named ?Liam?s
Smile? to support Special Education needs. Liam?s smile would
illuminate a room as it wasn?t simply a smile but rather radiated
from within his heart and twinkled in his eyes.
The Claassen?s are grateful for all
support provided their family. To contribute please see the following
