Kajaw J. Griffith, age 49, died July
20, 2022 in Newton Kansas. He was the son of Daniel Griffith and
Dianna Gatewood.
Kajaw was born May 25, 1973 in
Superior, Nebraska. Moving to Newton Kansas, Kajaw worked and
provided for his daughter Ally Griffith. It was while he was living
in Newton that he met Priscilla Jordan and the two were happily
married February 14, 2022 in Newton, Kanas. The two would go on to
enjoy the precious moments they had together.
Kajaw enjoyed many hobbies and loved
helping people in need. He would go on to help establish the Louis
Oxford House and the Beverly Oxford House. He took great pride in
helping others recover from substance abuse, and through his great
work, he was able to achieve and maintain a high-level member status
at the Oxford House Alumni. While helping others brought him great
joy, nothing meant more to him than his daughter. She was the very
center of his universe and simply being with her brought him joy.
To his family he also held a special
place in all of their hearts. Not only was he a sibling, son or
father, he was also the man of the family. He was always there for
them to offer advice, help or just a hug whenever it was needed.
Kajaw stepped into the role when he lost his father and was able to
help support his family in the same way his father did.
Kajaw is preceded in death by his
father Daniel.
Kajaw is survived by his wife
Priscilla, daughter Ally, sisters, Karie Griffith and Jenaka Kelly.
He is survived by his niece and nephew, Gavin and Grace Kelly and
many friends who were like family to Kajaw.
