J.
Gerald "Jerry" Nebergall, 88, a Millbrook resident for seven years,
died March 20, 1994 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck following
a short illness. Prior to moving to Millbrook in 1987, Mr. Nebergall
has resided in Montclair,N J., Wilmington,Del.,and Ahadena, Calif. He
was a retail executive Buyer for S.H. Kress & Co. in New York City.
He later worked as a retail merchant with United Merchant &
Manufactures in Wilmington, retiring in 1971. He was an avid golfer and a
member of the Montclair and Baltusrol golf clubs in New Jersey. He was
also a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Millbrook. Born
Nov. 27, 1905, in Newton, Kan., he was the son of Jesse and Julia Patton
Nebergall. On Jan 26, 1926, in Tulsa, Okla., he married the former
Margaret Mouser, who survives in Millbrook. Also surviving are a son,
Robert G.
Nebergall of Charleston, S.C.; three daughters, Mary Ann
Denny of Panther Valley, N.J., Jane Dyal of LaGrangeville, and Sally
Newell of Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Marian Vanderford of Wichita,
Kan.; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
