Phillip David Tyner, 63, of Newton, Kansas, passed away
Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He was born December 20,
1958 in Marion, Kansas, the son of Charles and Darlene (Roberts) Tyner.
Phillip graduated from Newton High School with the class of
1977.
He was united in marriage to Vivian Ann Weldon on July 21,
1984 in Newton. She survives of the home.
Phillip worked as an aircraft mechanic for Webco Aircraft at
the Newton Airport for 30 years.
He was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in
Newton. Phillip enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.
He is also survived by his son, Phillip David Charles Tyner
(Holly) of Newton; daughters, Cassie Tyner of Wichita, and Heather Tyner of Newton;
three grandchildren, Jacob, Curtis and William Potter; one greatgranddaughter,
Addilyn; three brothers, Marty Tyner of Newton, Morris ?Mo? Tyner of Wichita,
and Tom Tyner of Missouri; and sister, Tresea (Mike) Bailey of McPherson.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m.,
Friday, June 17, 2022 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1124 W 1st Street,
Newton. Family will meet with friends following the service. Memorial
