Janice Lynn Reimer, 89, died Thursday (June 16, 2022) at her
home in Hesston. She was born May 11, 1933, in Newton. She graduated from
Arkansas City High School and then attended Nurses Training at Stormont Vail in
Topeka. Janice married LeRoy Reimer of Goessel in January of 1955.
This marriage was blessed with four boys: Tim, Tom, James
and John. The majority of Janice?s career was spent in nursing, first for Dr.
Olson in Newton and then at Newton Medical Hospital. In 1962 she became the
Director of Nursing and first RN at Schowalter Villa and ended her nursing
career as a Hospice Nurse for Harvey County. After retirement, Janice enjoyed
serving in the church, spending time with family and friends, needlework, and
all kinds of handwork. In her later years, Janice enjoyed following her
grandkids? activities, traveling with LeRoy and outings with friends. Spending
time with her family gave her the greatest joy. Janice was a spiritual mom to
many people. She has had a profound influence on not only her family, but many
others as well.
She is survived by sons, Tim, and wife Annie, of Hesston,
Tom, and wife Gretchen, of Hesston, James, and wife Piper, of Prairie Village
and John, and wife Cindy, of Hesston, and eight grandchildren.
A private family burial will be held Saturday, June 25. A
celebration service will be held at Hesston MB Church, July 9 at 10:30 am.

Petersen Funeral Home, or Hesston MB church.
