Ivan G. Ratzlaff, 94, formerly a campus resident of Kansas
Christian Home in Newton, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at Hospice
of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, Virginia. On April 19, 1928 Ivan was born
at Meno, Oklahoma to Walter E. and Alice (Unruh) Ratzlaff. They preceded him in
death. In 1950 Ivan and Elizabeth ?Betty? Black were united in marriage. They
became parents of three children: Charlotte Ratzlaff of Pacifica, CA, Suzanna
(Rick) Smith of Madison, WI and Dan Ratzlaff of Barboursville, VA; and four
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Betty preceded Ivan in death.
In 1993 Ivan married Ailene Bertram in Florida who also
preceded him in death. Ivan is survived by his three children; his two
brothers: Johnnie Ratzlaff (Carol) of Newton, KS and Bruce Ratzlaff (Maxine) of
Jet, OK; two sisters: Kathryn ?Kathy? Gering of Newton, KS and Iris (Dale) Boss
of Fredrick, CO. along with eleven nieces and nephews.
Cremation has been performed with no final service.
