Marty Lynn Warkentine, 58, passed away
quietly Thursday (July 28, 2022) in Newton, Kansas.
She was born on August 10, 1963 in
Newton, the daughter of David and Barbara Tieszen Warkentine.
As a lifelong member of the community
she worked at Newton Medical Center, Walmart and the Newton Public
Library where she loved serving library patrons.
Marty was an avid reader, handbell
ringer and game aficionado extraordinaire!
She will be dearly missed and
remembered always by her family and friends.
Marty is preceded in death by her
parents. She is survived by her brothers, Brian, wife Charlotte and
their children (Jessica, Melissa Carter and Jeremy) and Kendal, wife
Marjie and children (Joshua Warkentine and Jennie Wintermote).
Cremation has taken place with a family
inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
A memorial service celebrating Marty's
life is being planned at Hope Mennonite Church in Wichita for
Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 AM.
A memorial has been established with
the Newton Public Library, contributions may be sent to the funeral
home.
