Billy Joe Hedges, 60, died Tuesday
(September 6, 2022) at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born William Joseph Hedges on
October 14, 1961 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of William Lewis and
Vondetta Britton Hedges.
The family lived in Topeka before
moving to Florence, Kansas and later settling in Newton. Billy
attended schools in Newton.
Through the years he did construction
work as well as worked on a ranch. He had also worked at Prestressed
Concrete in Newton.
Survivors include his parents of
Newton; sister Vicky Hedges with Khristin of Ottawa, Ks.; niece and
nephew Makenzy and Jordan Hedges of Ottawa.
He is preceded in death by an infant
brother James along with a second brother James.
Private family inurnment will be held
at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
