Rebecca Ann ?Becky? Hege, 81, died
on September 12, 2022, at Halstead Health and Rehab in Halstead,
Kansas. She was born on January 11, 1941, in Newton, Kansas, the
daughter of Cecil and Ima (Lawson) Foster. Becky attended Newton and
Emporia High Schools. Graduating from Emporia with the class of 1959.
Becky?s passion was helping others.
She worked for many years as a Family Support Worker with the State
of Kansas, Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.
On July 14, 1961, she was united in
marriage with Gerald Dean Koehn. He preceded her in death on
September 7, 1966. She again found true love, and on August 16, 1971
married Richard Hege in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple celebrated 51
beautiful years together this past August.
Becky is survived by her husband,
Richard Hege; daughters, Misty (Bruce) Bartel, Melissa (Merlin)
Koehn, and Melanie McClain; sons, Shawn Hege, and Shane (Dana) Hege;
sister, Edwina ?Eddy? Beard; 11 grandchildren, and 19
greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; first husband, Gerald D. Koehn; and sisters Glenna Becker
and Joy Craig.
A Remembrance Open House will be held
on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at #4 Cedar Drive,
Newton, KS. Private family graveside services will be held.
