Kitty Kay Burd, 59, died Sunday
(September 18, 2022) at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
She was born on April 2, 1963 in
Huntington, W.V., the daughter of Paul H. and Dolores K. Blevins
Burd. Kitty graduated from high school in California and lived in the
Redding, California area for several years.
She married Patrick R. Fitch on May 24,
2011 in Newport, Kentucky. They moved from California to Halstead,
Kansas in 2015 and to Newton, Kansas in 2000.
Survivors include her husband Pat of
the home in Newton along with his daughter Kristen Fitch also of
Newton and her three children. Kitty is also survived by her sister
Angel Short of Newton; and brothers Brian Kelly Barr and Paul Burd
both of Marshall, Texas, and Greg Burd of Huntington, W.V.
Kitty is preceded in death by her
parents; sister Debby Sharp; and brother Hank Burd.
The casket will be open at the funeral
home on Sunday (Sept. 25th) between 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.
Graveside services will be held at
10:00 A.M., Monday (Sept. 26th) at the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton,
Kansas.
