Stacy Dean Pippitt, 53, of Burden,
Kansas, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Via Christi St.
Francis in Wichita
Born October 4, 1968, in Dodge City,
Kansas, he was the son of Larry and Judith (Byers) Pippitt. His
family moved to Newton, Kansas in 1975 where he was raised and
educated, graduating from Newton High School in 1987. Following high
school, he attended Amtech in Wichita, receiving a certificate in
electronics. Stacy worked in computer technology for Bizmart for a
short time before beginning his career as an engineer for Santa Fe
Railroad.
Stacy was married to Tammy Gatton in
December 1996 at the Burden United Methodist Church. The couple made
their home in Burden, and Stacy
continued his career as an engineer,
working for the South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad. The couple had
five children and later divorced. Stacy remained an engineer and was
currently working for BNG Railroad.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran
Church in Newton. He enjoyed going to car shows, restoring John Deere
tractors, collecting model trains, and
listening to music.
His family includes four children, Cody
Pippitt, Shay Pippitt, Allie Pippitt, and Jace Pippitt all of Burden;
his step-mother Joan Pippitt of Harrison,
AR; and his aunt Becky (Pippitt)
Shumard and husband, John of Newton
In addition to his parents, Stacy was
preceded in death by an infant daughter Elly Ann Pippitt.
Graveside funeral services will be held
at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Burden Cemetery under the
direction of Miles Funeral Service.
Memorials have been established in
Stacy?s name for SIDS Network of Kansas and Burden United Methodist
