Etric La?Ronne Jones, II, was born
November 3, 1994 to Etric L. Jones, Sr. and Stephanie Louise Jones at
the Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kansas. He departed his life on
Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Weatherford, Texas at the age of 27.
Etric was a lifelong resident of
Newton. While attending Newton High School, Etric was very active in
sports. His mentor was Chris Rangel and had a double black belt in
Taekwondo. Etric loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed
music.
Survivors include his mother Stephanie
Louise Sears and step-father Charles Nixon of Newton, Ks.; his
children E?Myiah Leigh Jones, E?Amaree J. Jones, and Royal
La?Ronne Jones all of Newton; his grandmother Virginia Sears;
grandparents Manuel and Pamela Edwards all of Newton. He is also
survived by three brothers Charles Nixon, Jr. and Jawina Nixon both
of Wichita, and Nicolas Nixon of Newton; two sisters Jhaunnita Nixon
and Destinee Nixon both of Newton; God-mother Twila Smith of Newton;
God-sister Misha Rusk of Texas. Etric also leaves to love, the
mothers of his children Shalonda Maple and Mercedes Aycock; along
with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and close personal friends.
Etric is preceded in death by his
father Etric Jones, Sr.; grandparents John F. Sears and Wilma
(LaVaca) Sears.
The casket will be open at the funeral
home on Sunday (Oct. 9th ) between 1:00 and 5:00 P.M.
The Homegoing Celebration will be held
at 11:00 A.M., Monday (Oct. 10th) at Trinity Heights United Methodist
Church in Newton. Etric?s final resting place will be in Greenwood
Cemetery in Newton.
The family will receive friends at the
church on Monday prior to the services between 9:00 and 11:00 A.M.
The family has entrusted the Broadway
Colonial Funeral Home of Newton with the services to honor their
loved one.
