Ruby Davis Wills, 97, passed away
Saturday (October 8, 2022) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born October 19, 1924 in
Exeter, MO to Clarence and Affie May Harrison. As an adult she spent
many years caring for others as a nurse in the Kansas City area until
her retirement in 1995 moved her closer to her family in central
Kansas.
Survivors include daughter-in-law Judy
Searl of Newton, four grandchildren; Donna Kenley of Fayetteville,
Kevin Searl (Darla) of Goessel, Cindy Clark of Newton and Vicki
(Roger) Arrington of Sedgwick. Six great grandchildren, and 11
great-great grandchildren. She was also known as a church grandma and
a beloved friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, brothers Larry and Eston and son Leonard Searl.
She will be remembered for her great
love of the Lord Jesus Christ, her love of family and friends and
love of people in general.
The casket will be open at the funeral
home from 1:00-8:00 PM on Thursday (October 13th), the family will
receive friends between 5:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Friday
(October 14th) at 10:00AM at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Internment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick, KS.
A memorial has been established with
Pine Village. Contributions may be sent to Pine Village, 86 22nd St.
Moundridge, KS 67107.
