Law enforcement and EMS were dispatched to a medical assistance call this afternoon east of Hesston. Two acquaintances called 911 after finding two men unresponsive in a home at 8123 North West Road.

Emergency responders found a man in his 40s dead inside the home. His name has not been released pending notification of family.

Emergency responders performed life-saving measures on scene for Bradley Heathcock, a 55-year-old man. He was taken to a Wichita hospital in critical condition.  He is a resident of the home. 

This incident remains under investigation. Foul play is not immediately suspected.
