Leora (Lee) McFarlane, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Lee attended Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas where she met her husband, K.C. McFarlane. They were married in 1951, and later adopted two children, Doug and Danna from the Kansas Children?s Service League. After marrying K.C. they moved to numerous cities in Kansas. In 1970 they moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where they lived until K.C. passed in 2011. Lee eventually moved into assisted care facilities. In the last months of her life, she moved in with family, and passed with them all by her side. Lee worked as a Secretary in the Public Relations Department at Tabor College in Hillsboro, and as an Insurance Secretary in Hutchinson and Wichita, Kansas. Lee was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Texas, where she held numerous offices and sang in numerous choirs. She was an avid and accomplished Duplicate Bridge player, a member of The Contract Bridge League, and attained the rank of Silver Life Master. Lee loved gardening and crafts, sewing and decorating her home, and taking care of her family. She lived a happy and full life and leaves a loving family and many friends.
A graveside service will be held for she and her previously deceased husband, K.C. McFarlane on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10am at the Haven of Rest Cemetery in Hillsboro, Kansas.
