Arellano, Brian
Scholarship Fund Notice
Brian Arellano was born on February 6, 1981 and raised in Newton, Kansas. He grew up playing several sports in his spare time, wrestling, baseball, and football. Brian made the most of each opportunity in life and lived by the phrase "Carpe Diem." He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was also very active in the community. Brian excelled in baseball and football during his time in high school and had a dream of becoming an FBI Agent or a member of the United States Border Patrol. Brian graduated from Newton High School in 1999. After graduation, Brian went on to pursue his Criminal Justice Degree at Washburn University.
During Brian's senior year of college his dreams were cut short when he died from the result of an automobile accident in Lawrence, Kansas. His family created the Brian Arellano Scholarship Fund to keep his memory alive at Newton High.
