Orlin H. Wiggers, 78, of Halstead, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at his home. He was born April 29, 1944 in Newton, Kansas, the son of Wayne Willard and Eula Letty (Unruh) Wiggers.
He attended Mount Pleasant and Prouty country schools. Orlin was a member of Garden View Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, rural Halstead. He worked as a welder at Hesston Corporation and as maintenance at Bethel Hospital
in Newton. Orlin also farmed.
He was united in marriage to Betty Rose Mears on April 14, 1967 in Hesston. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his children, Paula Jo Wiggers of Halstead, Jana (Darin) Dirks
of Inman, and Matthew (Janelle) Wiggers of Potlatch, ID; six grandchildren; brother, Eldo (Roberta) Wiggers of Hesston; and sisters, Trudie Wiggers and Nancy Wiggers, both of Halstead. Orlin was preceded in death by his parents;
two sisters; mother and father-in-law; one sister-in-law; and three brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Garden View Mennonite Church, Halstead.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, January 7, at Moundridge Funeral Home with family greeting friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the church.
